National Trails Day

June 6, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Join BSCC on June 6 to celebrate American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day, a nationally recognized trail awareness program that occurs annually on the first Saturday of June to inspire the public to discover, learn about, and celebrate trails. To learn more about National Trails Day visit nationaltrailsday.org.

BSCC will be hosting trail projects to improve the community trail system. All projects are family-friendly and include finishing and repairing trails, refinishing tables and benches, and removing the winter’s accumulation of debris from the trails. Meet at the Community Park and a coordinator will direct you to a project.

Participants should bring gloves, sunscreen, water bottles and appropriate footwear and clothing. Some tools are provided but additional shovels, rakes, or wheelbarrows are welcome.

After work projects, a free barbeque lunch will be provided at the Community Park pavilion.
