Every first Saturday in June, BSCO hosts a National Trails Day Event. The American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day is a nationally recognized trail awareness program that occurs annually and inspires the public to discover, learn about, and celebrate trails while participating in outdoor activities. Trails Day projects are family-friendly and include repairing trails, staining tables and benches, and removing trash and debris from the trails. Volunteers will meet at the River Pavilion in the Big Sky Community Park to learn about the days trail projects before heading out into the field.
BSCO manages 23+ miles of trails that are all multi-use and multi-directional.
Ralph’s Pass (closed in winter)
The majority of BSCO trails are open year-round, barring any temporary seasonal hazard closures.
= Groomed or plowed during the winter.Note: Ungroomed / plowed trails are still open & get packed down by use.
We are always looking at opportunities to increase parklands and open spaces while further developing public recreation amenities.
