Year Round Access:
Trail is ungroomed and can be icy in the winter. Snowshoes or traction gear recommended.

Uses: Hike, Bike, Snowshoe, Fat Bike.

Parking: Parking is available at the trailhead Mud Creek trailhead.

Dogs: leash dogs or keep dogs under voice and sight command.

The Coldsmoke Out and Back trail is a newly built trail that forks off of the established Mud Creek Trail. This trail is a fun flow section for those looking for a little more distance when using Mud Creek. 

Coldsmoke Out and Back was built by Terraflow Trail’s in 2023. This fun flow section off of Mud Creek was made possible by generous donations from Spanish Peaks Community Foundation and Yellowstone Club Community Foundation along with private land owners.

Directions: Parking at the trailhead is available at Mud Creek. From Town Center, turn right towards the canyon. At the 191/64 intersection turn right. At Michner Creek road, turn right and the trailhead if off to the left.

BSCO manages 23+ miles of trails that are all multi-use and multi-directional.

The majority of BSCO trails are open year-round, barring any temporary seasonal hazard closures.

= Groomed or plowed during the winter.Note: Ungroomed / plowed trails are still open & get packed down by use.
