Hike Big Sky

Embark on an adventure with Hike Big Sky – a free and open-to-all exploration of the stunning landscapes our community has to offer. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, join us for invigorating hikes that showcase the beauty of Big Sky. Our welcoming community invites everyone to experience the great outdoors, enjoy breathtaking views, and make new friends along the way. Lace up your hiking boots and embrace the spirit of Hike Big Sky – where the trails are as diverse as the people who walk them!

Run Big Sky

Run Big Sky welcomes runners of all levels to join, with mileage increasing throughout the summer to match participants’ growing endurance. A BASE Pass or Day Pass is required to participate.. Please dress in layers, bring snacks, and H20. Bear spray recommended.

Bike Big Sky

Pedal into excitement with Bike Big Sky – a free and inclusive cycling experience open to locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just exploring, join us for exhilarating bike rides that showcase the beauty of Big Sky. Our welcoming community invites everyone to enjoy the freedom of the open road, the thrill of the trails, and the camaraderie that comes with two wheels. Dust off your bike and join Bike Big Sky – where the paths are as diverse as the community riding them!

Hockey

Gear up for fast-paced fun on the ice with BSCO 3v3 Hockey! Whether you’re a seasoned player or a newcomer, our league is all about teamwork, skill, and excitement. Join us for thrilling matches and a community that loves the game. Prior skate experience is needed, so lace up your skates and experience the camaraderie of 3v3 hockey at BSCO – where every goal is a celebration!

Glide Big Sky

Join BSCO Volunteer Laurie Spence for a social, cross-country ski on Fridays at noon.  Please dress in layers, bring your own equipment, and meet at the trailhead listed below. Rental skis available at East Slope Outdoors (406) 995-4369.

BSCO manages 23+ miles of trails that are all multi-use and multi-directional.

The majority of BSCO trails are open year-round, barring any temporary seasonal hazard closures.

= Groomed or plowed during the winter.Note: Ungroomed / plowed trails are still open & get packed down by use.
