We are excited to invite you to the third event in our free virtual mini-series, In the Artist’s Studio, this Saturday, April 25th at 5:00 p.m. This weekend, we’ll get a glimpse into the home studios of Broadway actors, lyricists and musicians as they collaborate virtually in a sampling of a new musical called The Dogs of Pripyat.
Inspired by an NPR story on the pets that were left behind in the wake of the Chernobyl meltdown, the musical cleverly explores what happens after disaster strikes, owners leave, and dogs are left to fend for themselves. We join the dogs’ journey as they learn to survive by forming packs, hunting, and readjusting to their harsh new environment. Ultimately, The Dogs of Pripyat is an uplifiting story about hope and survival under unimaginable circumstances, and the desire inside all of us to continue to love as we continue to live.
The half hour-ish presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with questions from you, the audience.
